Solace Peer Support has been developed from a strong research base; based on insights womens lived experiences of social marginalisation and pregnancy, in an international context.

 ‘Take Her Hand’ is a film summarising a Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Fellowship, completed by our director; exploring the role of peer support for pregnant women with experiences of social marginalisation in Australia and the USA. Following a pilot project in the local community, and a series of focus groups including women with lived experience of social marginalisation the service design for Solace Peer Support has been developed.
